Pictures of Places that Miss. Kim has visited
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. There are many historical things about Amsterdam. Some people in Amsterdam live on the water in boat houses, which is literally a house on the water it has two stories and the insides look just like a house that we live in. These pictures include the Sinter Klauss parade as well as the outside of the Anne Frank house, the outside of the Van Gogh museum and just around the city of Amsterdam! Barcelona is located on the coast of Spain. There were a lot of outside museums and places to visit in parks. We visited a bunch of museums that were designed by Gaudi, the famous Spanish architect. There was a park that had gingerbread houses in it that was designed by Gaudi. We also visited the aquarium and we were going to visit the zoo but the weather was raining so the animals were all inside.

For the weekend I traveled to Paris and I was able to see the Effel Tower during the day when I rode to the top of it and saw a breathe taking view of the city of Paris. I also saw the Effel tower at night when the light show happens. I was able to see the Paris Aquarium, Versallies, The Louve, Notre Dame, and the arc de triomphe. Erdmannhausen School visit
We were able to make a school visit during our two month stay in Germany. The students pictured below are attending Astrid- Lindgren- Schule Edmannhausen. This school is named after teh Swedish author, Astrid Lindgren. Astrid Lindgren wrote children's books and is well known for writing Pippi Longstocking. The school is a primary school with a focus on sports and physical education. There are only eight classes in this school, four first and second grade classes and then two third and fourth grade classes. After visiting the classrooms, the Mayor of the Town of Erdmannhausen, Lord Mayor Menner, came to talk with us about the school and the school systems within Germany. I was able to video record part of the lesson and will show everyone once I get back to state but for now here are some pictures. The first weekend we had free in Germany me and a group of eight others traveled by train to cologne Germany and saw the cathedral as well as participated in a walking tour that took us all over the town of cologne which is located on the Rhine river. We walked along the river and tried to take a cable car across the rhine but it had rained so the cable car was not running.
